HISTORY OF STRANDVILLAN
This beutiful villa is located on Strandvägen, just by Ljugarn beach.
Strandvillan, originally namned Villa Estarve, was built in 1926 by the Claudelin family. Ester Claudelin was the first owner and perhaps that is why the villa was namned Villa Estarve. It become one of several hotels at this seaside resort.
From the construction and up until the 1980s Strandvillan was closely connected to Badpensionatet, a hotel founded by the sister of Ester, Annie. The guest stayed in Strandvillan but had all their meals at Badpensionatet. Strandvillan was commonly referred to as the Annex.
Between 1986 and 2016 Strandvillan was privately owned and was periodically mainly vacant. In 2016 Strandvillas was bought by Elin Bergner and Jakob Tholsby whom during 2018-2019 has renovated the villa to meet the demands of today.
In June 2019 Strandvillan reopened as a home by the sea for visitors coming to Ljugarn.
Strandvillan has 7 hotel rooms and 1 apartment. The apartment consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry room and a spacious living area with kitchen, lounge and dining room.
